Support in Southampton
Keeping safe
Your wellbeing and security are our top priorities and we do a lot to keep you safe as a student at Southampton.
How we keep you safe in halls
We want you to feel comfortable and supported in your accommodation.
You can rest assured that your room will be secure and lockable and that you can choose to live in single-sex or alcohol-free accommodation if you prefer.
How we keep you safe on campus
We have dedicated security teams who work for the University and look after our campuses.
They are always on duty, day and night, and patrol all our campuses regularly to make sure our campuses are safe. We have campus-wide CCTV and the security team are also first-aid trained so you can feel secure and protected.
